Mike was born in New Brunswick, NJ, but spent most of this childhood in Marlton. Growing up he was very active in sports, playing both soccer and baseball. When he finally moved to Manahawkin, when he was 17, he consumed most of his time on the football field. His love for football has continued as he now volunteers his summer/fall seasons assistant coaching his son’s tackle football team.
Mike met Rick, the founding board president of the Maximilian Foundation, while working at The Dutchman’s, a family friendly German style bar and restaurant, located on Long Beach Island. Mike spent 22 years working at the Dutchman’s, making a name for himself managing the outside bar, The Quelle. Taking the knowledge he gained from the Quelle, Mike bought his own bar/restaurant in August of 2017. Mickey’s Port of Call Pub is located in the heart of Tuckerton and Mike strives to make it a place for friends and family to gather. Mike has embraced the small town feel of Tuckerton and is extremely active in the community, hosting fundraisers and events in his effort to give back to everyone who supports him and his business. When Mike isn’t working he spends his time with his two children, Mikey and Nora and hopes to enlist as many of the skills and tools the Maximilian Foundation teaches in them throughout their lives.
